So, here is how it all played out........... Saturday morning, we left California to head to New York for the night in order to get on our Cruise to Bermuda on Sunday morning. The day started out at 4:30am when we woke up in order to get ready for Evin's parents to pick us up at 5:30am to get us to the airport. We had a lay over in Atlanta, GA......... Which is were it started. We were supposed to have a little over 2 hour layover (which already sucked) But THEN our flight was delayed another 2 hours! Grrrrr!!! We finally got to New York at about 8:30PM! Took a taxi to the Crown Plaza in NYC, Which we did have a VERY awesome (and expensive) room, looking right down Broadway. We dropped our bags off and headed out to dinner with Jen (3.8 Mod Jen) and her Hubby. =)

Sunday morning we go to board our cruise! =) After a few long lines we had to stand in, we got to out room, which was HUGE for a cruise ship room... Evin's Aunt in a travel Agent, so she hooked us up with an ADA room.. LOL

Everything was great.... Until we headed out to the open water! That's when The wind and storm started! Evin and I were both sick the first 2 1/2 days off and on. We had up to something like 45 foot waves! See!!!!

THEN, Just before 8PM on the very first night, out of no where, the whole boat leans EXTREEMLY hard over to one side, making all the drawers in the room open. Guess what happened!? A Woman freaking Jumped overboard and the ship turned to go back and rescue her! See News stories below:

Security Camera Captures Woman's Fall from NCL Ship
Representatives from the F.B.I. and authorities from Bermuda boarded Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Dawn this morning after it docked at Bermuda's King's Wharf, the only port of call on its seven-night cruise from New York. Their goal? To investigate the incident that presumably ended the life of Mindy Jordan, 46, who fell overboard soon after the ship set sail on Sunday evening.

Although the investigation is ongoing, one thing has been firmly established: Ms. Jordan was alone and acted alone when she fell from the balcony of her Deck 9 stateroom and into rough seas. According to an official statement from the cruise line, Norwegian Dawn's extensive and advanced safety and surveillance system has documented, from both inside and outside the ship, most of the time that remains in question.

Following is a time line of events, as reported in the NCL statement:

Mindy Jordan and Jorge Caputo dined at the Garden Cafe with the couple they were traveling with; both couples returned to their assigned adjacent staterooms at approximately 7:28 p.m.

At 7:36 p.m., Jorge left his stateroom and went to join his friends in their stateroom next door. From that moment on, Mindy is alone in her stateroom.

At 7:53 p.m., surveillance cameras from the exterior of the ship captured Mindy falling overboard from her balcony, straight into the water. Shortly thereafter, an emergency call was made from the friends' stateroom and Jorge is seen exiting to seek help.

At 7:57 p.m., a man overboard announcement was made and the ship's crew began lifesaving operations, including the launch of two rescue boats.

NCL has offered to make arrangements for Jordan's family to join the ship in Bermuda tomorrow and view the surveillance footage. In its statement, NCL says it remains committed to assisting the family in any way possible during this tragic time.

Just In: Crime Ruled Out in NCL Woman Overboard Case
(8:20 p.m. EDT) -- The F.B.I. and authorities from Bermuda have concluded their investigation onboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Dawn and have left the ship, according to a statement from the cruise line.

The ship, which docked Wednesday morning at King's Wharf on a scheduled Bermuda cruise from New York, was made available to the authorities for the past two days to conduct interviews and to examine the sealed room to which Mindy Jordan had been assigned. Jordan fell overboard shortly after setting sail from New York on Sunday evening and is presumed dead.

According to the statement, F.B.I. spokesperson Jim Margolin has confirmed that after the witness interviews and review of the ship's surveillance videos, they do not believe that a crime has been committed.

Louise Horton, the victim's mother, has declined Norwegian Cruise Line's offer to fly her and other family members to Bermuda to review the surveillance footage.

Jorge Caputo, Jordan's fiance, left the ship at approximately 1 p.m. today after extensive interviews with the authorities.

Norwegian Dawn is expected to depart Bermuda tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. as scheduled.

We spent the next like 9 hours going in circles, looking for this lady in waves that could take out a small boat, never mind a person without a life jacket! The whole thing still sounds really fishy to us.. It just doesn't seem right.

So, after that excitement, we finally got to Bermuda, On time even, on Weds morning. Evin and I rented Mopeds to get around the 21square mile island. =) The first day was quite an adventure. We both had no idea where we were going, but Evin took the lead as navigator, and did a really good job at it too.

We then proceeded to beach hop to about 4 or 5 different ones. They were all sooooo beautiful! Its crazy how Teal the water is and how CLEAR it is! About 4 feet out and you can still see the bottom perfectly! I’m sure you can see even further out than that, but that’s as far as I went. Lol

As the day went on, it got a little cloudy………….

Photobucket

And that’s when the Heaven’s decided to open up on us, while we are going 30+mph on our Mopeds, on the complete other end of the island that our ship was docked at. LOL We got drenched on about 4 different times that day. It would pour down rain for like 10 mins or so and then the sun would come back out and would be like nothing happened! LoL It was some really weird weather! Here’s what I looked like after one of the down pours.. =)

Photobucket

I have a ton more pictures but I really don’t feel like sitting here and re-sizing them all.. lol

All in all, with all the adventures that we went through on our honeymoon, we still had an awesome time….. Sick sickness and all.. lol It will be one that we will never forget, that’s for sure. =)

Very glad to be home and in our own bed.

Now could someone tell the ground to stop moving!!!! We both got used to being on the cruise that we can’t seem to not rock back and forth as if we were still on the ship! LOL

Even now that Christmas is over, It never really felt like Christmas. Maybe it was all the running around that Evin and I had to do, in order to visit with all of our family and friends.. We drove close to 200 miles yesterday alone! But It was worth it.. We got to see everyone we wanted to see... But wow were we tired after!

Here is our Annual Christmas picture =)
Photobucket

Evin got me 2 beautiful braclets for Christmas and a cat calender that has a different cat picture on it for each day. =) He knows how much I like the "LOL Cats" =0)

Photobucket

Evin's family has put me in their Christmas Secret Santa for the past 2 years now and each year seems to get better! =)
This year his Uncle Bob got me, But I know for a fact that his Aunt is the one that bought it. =) They got me a Tinkerbell watch with my name engraved on the inside of it! And they put "Amy Ritter".. hehe

Photobucket

On top of that, Evin's parents and sister spoiled me! I got a new 4qt Crockpot and knew knive sets, both of which I really needed! =) My mom got me a gift card to target and so did Jerermy (Krista's husband) who was my secret santa. =) I also got a ton of stocking stuffer stuff including a pair of flip flops that say "Just Married" on them and leave the words in the sand when you walk! hehe =)

Evin's best friend Charles got me a new mouse for my computer (mine sounded like the wheel needed oil or something) lol and Charles parents got me the New Pirates DVD! YAYAY!! =)

I am so blessed to have such awesome family and extended family now. =) I have just over 4 months now until our wedding!! I can't wait!!! =)

I posted this on MySpace too But incase you missed it... Here's my story............... =)

The day that I thought was never going to happen, is going to be here in exactly 6 months from last Sunday! Eek!!! So much to do!!!!

So, I guess I should tell all about how he totally convinced me that he hadn't had the time or enough money yet to buy me a ring. We have been talking about getting married for a long time now and were even making plans for it already, but it wasn't "Official". So, last weekend kinda out of no where, he suggested that we go out to a nice dinner the following Tuesday (which is the night that I drive out to see him in Beaumont where he lives) cause we don't go out to often and it would be a nice change. He wouldn't tell me where we were going or anything. And then on Monday, he tells me that he made reservations for 7:30 on Tuesday night. Now I'm starting to think I know where we are going because there are very few places around here that you need to call at least a day before to get reservations, The Melting Pot. We went to the one in Irvine for out 6 month anniversary and they just opened a new one up in Rancho Cucamonga. On the way there I had even guessed that we were going there, but he kept saying no. =op What a liar! lol

We got there like 30 mins early, so we just sat outside for a little on the pretty stone wall thing they had there to sit on. We talked for a little bit and then I got a random text message from a number I didn't recognize. It said something like "God is going to change something in your life today, do not fear it but let god lead the way".

Just after I read it (out loud), I look over to Evin and he's all "I'll take that as a sign". He gets down on one knee, pulls a little black box out of his pocket, opens it and asks me to marry him!!! My eyes teared up so fast! I was so/am happy!!

Evin has made so many of my dreams come true already and I can't wait to see what the future has for us!

And now, The count down begins! We set the date as May 4th, 2008. We'll be getting married in Chino Hills and going on a cruise to Bermuda for our honeymoon.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!

For the last 3 months, I've been working like 45-50 hours a week because we still have yet to hire someone to replace the women we fired. So, today as I was doing the payroll, my boss comes over and flips through the payroll sheets and wrote something on it, she then tapped my shoulder to have me look at what she wrote, and what she did was cross out my payrate and raised my rate a dollar! Woot! I now make just under 40k a year! YAYAYAYYA!!! =)
